January 20, 1995: Flight 427 Air Disaster Support League was incorporated as a non-profit organization.
January 23, 1995: Surviving family members invited to NTSB hearings in Washington, DC.
March 1995: Chairman Jim Hall of the NTSB meets with family members in Pittsburgh to provide an update of the investigation into the crash of Flight 427.
June 8, 1995: The National Air Disaster Alliance was formed in Pittsburgh.
June 20, 1995: Family members met with the Secretary of Transportation Pena, NTSB Chairman Jim Hall and other government representatives in Washington, DC.
July 21, 1995: Families sponsor a picnic to give thanks to the many volunteers who gave their assistance following the crash.
August 2, 1995: A second meeting held in Washington DC with the Department of Transportation and Airline representatives.
September 8, 1995: League sponsors First Anniversary ceremonies.
November 1995: Families attend second NTSB hearings held in Springfield, VA.
December 8, 1995: Representatives of League attend meeting in Houston with Continental Airlines to discuss the Leagues ideas.
April 1996: Palm Sunday services held at Sewickley Cemetery.
June 19, 1996: House Aviation Subcommittee Meeting discusses the Families Bill
August 1996: Summer picnic for 427 ADSL members.
September 8, 1996: The families and friends of the passengers of USAir Flight 427 gathered in Sewickley Cemetery to observe the second anniversary of the crash.
September 9, 1996: President Bill Clinton signs into law the "Federal Family Assistance Plan for Aviation Disasters" while many of our League members looked on. One of our League's main goals was met that day.
May 31, 1997: Third annual family picnic was held in the Harmar Shelter in North Park. It rained heavily throughout the day, but the picnic was well attended and certainly a lot of fun.
April 5, 1998: Our Palm Sunday service was held at Sewickley Cemetery. Over 50 family members and friends braved the somewhat chilly spring air to attend this wonderful service and over 35 people joined us for brunch afterwards.
June 7, 1998: Annual family picnic held.
September 6, 1998: We had a wonderful turnout at our Fourth Anniversary Service at Sewickley Cemetery, with over 120 people attending. The Reverend Lisa McCauley led the service.
March 23, 1999: The final NTSB hearing on the cause of the crash of USAir Flight 427 was held at the L'Enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington, DC.
September 8, 1999: Fifth Anniversary Service was held at Sewickley Cemetery.
September, 1999: League purchased the crash site and transferred title to Pine Creek Land Conservation Trust. This was another one of the League's main goals.
April 15, 2000: Dedication Service was held at the crash site for the blessing of the hallowed ground and a dedication of the stone momument.
September 8, 2000: Sixth Anniversary Service held at Sewickley Cemetery.
September 8, 2001: Seventh Anniversary Service held at Sewickley Cemetery.
September 7, 2002: Eighth Anniversary Service held at Sewickley Cemetery.
September 6, 2003: Ninth Anniversary Service held at Sewickley Cemetery.
